Esikhotheni Private Game Reserve forms part of the Pongola Game Reserve, bordering on Jozini Lake, in Northern Zululand, all of which is privately owned by like-minded individuals who formed this reserve with the purpose of allowing vast numbers of species to roam freely without the intrusion of fences and limited spaces.

The total reserve area is 14,000ha, Esikhotheni Private Game Reserve
contributing 2,000ha to this.

At Esikhotheni Private Game Reserve you will see 4 of the Big 5 :
Elephant, the endangered Black Rhino, White Rhino, Buffalo, and Leopard,
as well as large quantities of other game species such as Kudu, Nyala, Impala, Reedbuck, Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, Steenbok, Red and Grey Duiker, and Warthog.
Noturnal life includes Hyena, Black-Backed Jackal, Large and Small Spotted Genet, Serval and Caracal.

Exclusive fully catered safari accommodation is offered at Esikhotheni Lodge.
For the self-catering guest there is a choice of cottage style accommodation at Askari, or at our very popular Bushcamp.
